1996 IGT GameKing Video Poker / Slot Machine

All of the other slot machines in my collection are antiques. I have played each of those machines in news stands, cafes, clubs, grocery stores, taverns and beachfront amusement parlors in my youth (I am telling my age). Having played slots in Las Vegas and Louisiana, I thought I would add a modern machine to the pile.

I considered both Bally and IGT games. I watched the auctions on eBay checking for models and prices. The spinning reel machines were selling for $1,000 to $2,000 with a occasional GameKing or Bally GameMaker offered for much higher prices. I found the Slot Machine Inforum and asked online for their recommendations about the GameKing. I never received a reply to my inquiry so I assume the distribution of multigame machines to private owners is much less than the spinning reel machines. gameking flas pic.JPG - 88675 Bytes

I knew that a belly glass and that personality chips could be changd in the spinning reel machines to make different games on the same platform, a nuisance. I wanted more than one game but I have restricted floor space, so a multigame machine seemed to be the best solution. I looked at both the IGT and Bally machines. The Bally Gamemaker was limited to a ten-game menu however there are IGT machines advertised on the net which can have twelve games on a menu, 3 menus and three different denominations. I decided on the GameKing.

I contacted several vendors. One never answered my inquiry, some were priced too high for my budget. One other raised the advertised price after I first inquired.

I purchased my GameKing from Casino Slots, LLC in Dallas, TX. I informed the representative that I was negotiating with another vendor for a machine, and he told me that he would be happy to help me keep my machine running no matter where I purchased it. I was impressed. To answer questions that I had, I was referred to a slot tech. He took all the time necessary to answer my inquiries. Their price was in line with other suppliers, so I purchased from them. I did have to take a sales tax hit purchasing within the state.

When the machine arrived, I was astounded at its like-new appearance, super clean, with a bright, clear screen. I had a problem with the bill validator and stacker, and they sent all parts for me to replace until the problem was solved. The validator furnished accepted all bills $1 to $100, 4-way input (face up or down, either end).

If you are considering purchasing any slot machine, reel machine or video, I reccommend you shop Casino Slots. Be sure to inquire about a base also; their prices are competitive. My stand was shipped at no increase in freight costs.
